Welcome to my photolog from last Saturday's visit to the Japanese garden and Tibetan prayer flag grove at the New England Peace Pagoda. You can review the first installment of detailed pagoda photos right here.
This space is deeply meditative. There are any number of places to stop for more intensive contemplation or prayer.
Every tree and bush was so perfectly cared for and in complete harmony with the overall landscape. I kept stopping to feel/absorb first and then document ...
It probably suprises no-one that I was instinctively drawn to the spot where a vibrant lotus seed pod held its place near the very center of the pool. Bliss!!!!
Approaching the stark, groomed rock section of the garden. It's elevated on the other side of a traditionally shaped archway.
This will show my DIY friends how the small white rock bed is constructed. The setting couldn't be more perfect. Below somebody's message slowly gives itself over to Nature.
On the other side of the pond, Tibetan prayer flags were sending their messages to the breeze. Since it was an extremely windy day, the presence of the flags seemed especially relevant and powerful.
My love of reflected water images was very pleased with this opportunity. You have to walk across the large stone bridge and water garden's "island" in order to reach the prayer flags.
In truth I was not prepared for how strongly I'd be impacted by these flags blowing in the wind. I stayed as long as the perpetual threat of head disturbance would deem responsible.
eta: If I don't make it back to do a wrap up post before I unplug, I wish everyone an intriquing & enlightening weekend. If I don't make it back, I'll see you sometime on Wednesday.

Very beautiful pictures of this japanese garden:) When i see them I want to be there:)))
